Who we are
Herdade do Vau is located in a magical place (Alentejo), near the Guadiana river, in the center of a triangle formed by three historic cities - Beja, Serpa and Mértola. This property boasts enormous biodiversity as it is very close to the Guadiana Valley Natural Park. But what characterizes it most is the peace and serenity it offers.
Herdade do Vau was born from an old country house, rebuilt in 2012. In 2007, the vineyard was started.
The Biochic concept maintains and cultivates a responsible attitude that combines sustainability and environmental balance with the elegant simplicity that is so characteristic of the Alentejo.
Herdade do Vau has a main house with typical Alentejo architecture, consisting of a large living room with a fireplace and spaces created for enjoying activities such as reading, playing, resting, relaxing... it also has a patio, tennis court, balconies, gardens, dining room, kitchen and swimming pool. The overall decor is minimalist and based on a perfect symbiosis between functional and pleasant elegance.
